Hardware Wallet Types and Record Formats
How Ledger, Trezor, and other hardware wallets export transaction data — and what to send when requesting a summary pack.
Different hardware wallets produce different export formats. Knowing what your device can output helps you submit complete records and receive an accurate ledger.
Ledger Devices
Ledger Live exports CSV files from the Accounts tab. Select your account, open transaction history, and use the export function. The CSV includes date, type, amount, and fees but does not always include counterparty addresses for all transaction types. Supplement with screenshots of individual transaction details when addresses are missing.
Trezor Devices
Trezor Suite provides CSV export from the Transactions view. The format is similar to Ledger’s but uses different column headers. If you have used both Trezor Suite and a third-party interface like Electrum, export from both — some historical transactions may appear in only one source.
Paper Wallets and Air-Gapped Devices
For paper wallets or devices that never connect to the internet, your records may consist entirely of handwritten logs or photographs of transaction confirmations. These are acceptable source material. Include as much detail as possible: date, amount, sending address, receiving address, and transaction ID if you recorded it at the time.
Software Wallet Exports Used with Hardware
Many holders use Electrum, Sparrow, or BlueWallet alongside their hardware device. If you have used companion software, export from that application as well. The hardware wallet export and the software export sometimes contain complementary information.
What We Do With Mixed Formats
We normalize all source formats into a single ledger structure. You do not need to reconcile different export formats yourself — that is part of our preparation process. Submit everything you have, and we identify overlaps and gaps during the initial review.
